For schools
Help shape a network built around students' interests. We're starting small, with schools invited and vetted personally.
How joining works
- 1
Get in touch
Register your interest below. We reach out to every school ourselves.
- 2
Become a partner
We talk through how clubs, projects and safety work, and agree on the details with your school.
- 3
Students sign in
Students sign in with the Google accounts your school already gives them. There's no public sign-up.
- 4
Clubs start
Students join clubs and start their first three-month project. Clubs start with a small number of schools, with more joining in later stages.
What we ask of schools
Google accounts
Your students need school Google accounts. That's how they sign in.
Students aged 10 and up
Clubs are for students aged 10 and up at partner schools.
A moderator
A teacher or staff member who handles alerts about your own students, and about posts in up to five clubs they choose. They get the AI's reports, and for serious problems they can open the messages involved. The initial estimate is 15 to 30 minutes a week for routine moderation; serious incidents may take longer.
Project approval
Your mod gives the go-ahead before a project starts, and a club mod gives the final OK before it goes in the showcase.
Rewards
Finish something great and there's a real reward, from your school or from Wonderkids, maybe even at an end-of-year celebration.
Questions from schools
What's planned, what your school would take on, and what we're still working out.
Who is it for, and when does it start?
Wonderkids is for students aged 10 and up. A start date has not been announced. More schools, followed by international clubs, are planned.
Does it cost anything to join?
School participation pricing has not been finalised. The plan is for core educational content to be free and public, but that is separate from the cost of school participation. Register interest to discuss the proposed arrangements before deciding whether to join.
How much time would students need?
About 1 to 2 hours a week across their clubs, in time your school already sets aside for enrichment, such as a CCA or advisory slot, plus any time students choose to add at home. It never takes time from core lessons. Projects run for about three months, in step with a school term. Each group picks its own done-by date, and nothing is due over the holidays. Clubs don't need everyone online at once, so schools don't need matching timetables.
What would our teachers need to do?
Each school provides a moderator to handle alerts about its own students and a few clubs, set quiet hours, and give projects the go-ahead. The initial estimate for routine moderation is 15 to 30 minutes a week, with extra time for incidents and project approval. Schools also arrange a small reward for students who finish a project.
How many students would be in each club?
Club sizes are still being planned. Students join as many clubs as they like, and can ask for a new one. The member counts in the demo are fictional examples, not confirmed group sizes.
What accounts and equipment would we need?
Students will need school-issued Google accounts and a device with a web browser. Clubs run entirely online, so students never need to meet in person, and the demo's projects, like a browser game and an invented fantasy world, only use free online tools. Device arrangements are agreed with each school.
What happens after we register interest?
Your enquiry comes straight to us, and we'll follow up using the email address you provide to discuss your school and our plans. Registering interest does not enrol your school or create any student accounts.
Register your school's interest
